3rd Trimester

Can y'all forgive an AW weight post?

I know people hate weight posts but I can't help it.  I am finally back to my pp weight!  112 lbs as of this morning, baby.  Of course my stomach still looks like a bowl of jello and my hips have not moved back to their pp position so I can't fit into any of my old jeans, but still.  I'm a happy camper.

  • Go you!  It took me forever, like almost a year and a diet, to lose the rest of my weight with DD.  Good job!

I'm sorry, what? I couldn't hear you over my crunching.

    Wink

    JK - good job!

Pumpkin butter, what?  I've never heard of such a thing.  Where does one find pumpkin butter?  I bet it would be so good on ginger snaps . . .

  • I think my a$$ alone weighs 112 pounds, but good for you!

  • Can you share how you did it?? Do you think the BFing helped? I have heard some people say they just "forget" to eat with a newborn. Not sure I will ever just "forget" to eat.... Congrats!! I would give anything to have weighed 112 lbs PP Tongue Tied
  • That's cool, but why are you posting this on 3rd trimester if you already had your baby?  Is it to give us hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel?  :)

I'm posting it here because I'm like that kid who can't move on after highschool . . . I still post on 3rd Tri all the time even though I had my baby months ago.  More people "know" me on this board than any of the others.

Just BFing.  Which is why I still resemble jello despite what the scale says!

And believe me I have never forgotten to eat!

  • Scoutkate, you seem like a really nice person and I am genuinely happy for you that you're back to your PP weight.

That said -- and apparently I'm all alone in thinking this -- I really wish you hadn't posted this here.  Or at least that I hadn't opened it (why, why did I open it?).  Right now I am 35 pounds heavier than I've ever been in my life and reading your post made me feel like a G.D. manatee.

    Anyway, congratulations.

  • Congrats!! I am super jealous!!! your LO is absolutely adorable BTW. I like these posts because it gives me hope that I will be "normal" again!

I set a goal to weigh10lbs less than I did pp, which at this point will be 40 lbs to lose and I'm sure by the time I get to the end even more. I have no idea how I will do it but I figure if I can get through this pregnancy and give birth to a healthy baby I can do anything!!!!!

Now Paisley, she did warn you in the post title, tsk tsk! That being said, manatees are adorable sea creatures!

Heh.  You'd think I would have learned by now not to open the weight posts but I CANNOT HELP MYSELF.  It's a sickness, I'm telling you.

Sorry, Paisley.  Sad  I don't want to make anyone feel badly.  This post was made in the spirit of "sharing happy news among friends" as opposed to "gloating to make others feel bad."

Hey, at least I'm not one of those hookers who make posts like this three weeks after giving birth, right?  I mean, it did take me several months!

  • imageMrsJoeG07:

Scout, you say you can't fit into your old jeans but you are your pre-preg weight--I'm the exact opposite problem. 4-5 lbs to go but my pants fit (some a bit tightly, but they fit) around my hips again. WTF? Do I have 5 lbs of boobage?! How are your shirts fitting these days? I never thought I'd say this, but I miss my itty bitty boobs--my shirts all look absolutely ridiculous, like I'm some cheapskate who refuses to buy new tops even thought we all f'in know she can't fit in them since last year.

Which is true, but STILL! I hate the scale and I hate that I place so much value in an arbitrary number that no one has had the gall to ask about so far aside from DH's step-grandmother... b!tch...

Dude, I've always had ginormous boobage.  Mine look just as ridiculous now as they ever did.

I know you had the best of intentions and I'm truly sorry if I made you feel bad!  I think going overdue has put my huge panties in a twist (though not the big-girl ones; clearly I left those off this morning).  Congrats again (I promise I wasn't trying to be sarcastic when I said it the first time) -- here's to the light at the end of the manatee tunnel!

    Also, hee @ "hookers."

  • YAY! That's awesome. I'm down a fair amount of weight, still stretch mark free (crosses fingers), and my jello is starting to recede already, so I share in your joy! WHOOHOO!
