Parenting after a Loss

If your LO rolls over in their sleep, a ?

Do they wake themselves up? I'd say 4 out of 5 times that E rolls over she wakes herself up when she lands on her stomach. This means that several times a night we are now back to getting up to flip her back over and give her her pacofier. Anyone have any advice on how to stop the rolling in the crib or what else we can do? She hasn't yet learned to roll tummy to back..so I guess I'm just stuck getting up for now? (I guess this turned into more of a vent..sorry!)

  • Not sure how to stop it. Mine would roll, but would stay sleep. I hope someone answers for you!

Are you worried about SIDS? My pedi told me once they can roll, the risk drops significantly.

No, she just cries when she rolls to her stomach and wont put herself back to sleep so we have to get up roll her back over and give her a paci.

  • I'd let her go for a few minutes and she if she can put herself back to sleep, then flip her over. Eventually, she'll get it.

  • I would quit the paci at night time. We stopped cold turkey and have not had an issue...

  • K would do this. We started trying to put her to sleep on her belly for naps and stuff when we could keep an eye on her. Once she got to the point of being comfy sleeping on her belly, she stopped waking up so much... until she started trying to get back onto her back, and rolling onto her arm. But that's a whole different issue!

That's a good idea, maybe I should start her out on her tummy for naps. Thanks!
