The other day, I went and bought a pair of jeans. It was pretty depressing since I ended up buying a pair of pants that were two sizes too large - but they were the only ones I could find that fit my saggy stomach, even if they were baggy everywhere else. Problem was that since jeans tend to loosen up after a few hours of wear, they started to suddenly fall to the ground every time I moved - not so good.
I went to buy another pair yesterday, and decided I'd look for something with a partial elastic waistband. I couldn't find a single pair in any stores around here - not even in the plus size store. There seems to be a move away from elastic (or even partial elastic) to regular fitted waists. *shrug*
So, 6 months after my kids were born, I finally I gave up and bought some black (work style, not yoga) maternity pants.
Depressing.
On the bright side, they're really comfy.
Re: giving up (clothing related)
I had a hard time enjoying my body after having Bella and now I'm pregnant again, so worth it but it means that the cute bump I have now will soon turn into rolls of flab
Funny that you found maternity pants that were comfy. I feel like all of mine fit in the hips but not in the waist and the thighs. I have bigger thighs and they tend to hug my thighs= not cute! I can't even find tops that I like now... I HATE HATE HATE shopping!
This! I think it's because (at least for me) my belly pushes down the front part, therefore the back part rides up my back, making it all saggy. TMI, I know! :P

THIS. EXACTLY!!!
I am still not in my pre-preg clothes. It's pretty depressing, I know. I have a whole closet of cute clothes that do NOT FIT. And I refuse to buy bigger clothes, so I have like 10 things to wear. I must say that I have not been looking my best this past year. I do need to buy more stuff to wear, but it's so depressing to buy a bigger size. So...... I hear ya. :-/

Mine's the opposite! I wonder if somehow having a baby made my butt bigger??
exactly! Plus, I liked the bonus of not having to deal with buttons and zippers! LOL
This & this exactly! And the sad part is my kiddo is a bit older than the rest of yours. I finally broke down this past weekend and bought 2 new outfits in a larger size (whaaaaa!) because I think my family & co-workers are tired of seeing me wear reruns. And it's not so much the weight, but my body, stomach especially is just so different now.
This is the real issue for me - I actually don't think I weigh significantly more now than when I got pregnant (I am a bit heavier, but I don't think it's much judging by how my pre-preg clothes fit). But my body shape has changed so much, especially my stomach - it's still big (I swear I could pass for 6 months pregnant) and really floppy and squishy, and there's a horrible flap at the bottom. It really changes how clothes fit and what styles I can wear.
Exactly this! I'm actually at my pre-pg weight now but my clothes aren't fitting the same. Yesterday, I had to pull out the bella band for one of my jeans cuz it was unbearably uncomfortable to have it zipped up.
