Had ER this morning

We were very close to canceling our first ivf cycle due to poor response. I had one lead follicle and the others were too small. We decided to go ahead and go for the retrieval and hope there was an egg in the follicle. Luckily there was. I was so sad this entire weekend contemplating what decision to make. Now, we are praying that everything goes well and if it does, we will have a 3 day transfer.

Thank you! I know! I was soooooo nervous there wouldn't be an egg and then this cycle would've been for nothing. So happy to have people who can understand. I told my DH about there only being a lead follicle and he said "at least we have a lead follicle." I wanted to hit him b/c he didn't understand right away my fear of no egg being inside!

I'm laying in bed, bumping, and I don't really feel nausea, but just some cramping. Like a bad period. I'm extremely relieved that it's over. In hindsight, if this cycle doesn't work, at least my fear of ivf is over. Now that I've been through a ER, I don't have the 'unknown' factor.

Yeah they don't get that at all. I had 16 follies, and 11 eggs. DH was very confused by this. How could they not be equal in number....he was so confused.
