Totally NH with BRU (mini vent)

I got another gift from my BRU registry today...(our bouncer...yippy!).  But this is the second one I've received that hasn't been marked as "purchased" on my registry.  First I have issues with "gender specific" stuff and now they can't mark items as purchased?  Incompetent!!!!  I will never register with them again....

Vent over!  Back to my happy, loving place!

Re: Totally NH with BRU (mini vent)

  • They have to tell BRU that it is from a registry....I know my friends have forgotten to tell them at check out, it's not BRU fault in that situation.

If your friends/family have told BRU then that's obnoxious but not everyone does mention it and the associates don't usually ask (or at least at my local store they don't).

  • The items that haven't been marked were "online only".  Do they have to tell them even if they order it through the registry online?  That just seems silly.

Ditto this.  This is how I ended up with 2 Ergos - one friend didn't use the registry, so then my SIL went and bought it as well.

Well, yes.  In a sense, you do.  They would have had to selected the "add to cart" option from your registry page and completed the transaction that way in order for BRU to know to mark it as purchased from your registry.

  • I checked the packing list for both items.  Both say they were purchased from our registry.  Has our names & the registry number listed......  Now i'm just confused!

  • You can sign in to your registry and edit items.  I've had to go in and mark several items as purchased after I've had a shower.

I received another BRU registry gift over the weekend, so I went in this morning to make sure it had has been marked as purchased and I found out that someone has bought our Pack-N-Play.  Woot! Woot!  I'm so excited.

  • Yeah...I will just sign in and edit as necessary.  I was hoping to not have to do that to avoid "excessive stalking".  But oh well...guess that plan is out the window. Darn....Stick out tongue
  • Good grief.  You sound like an extremely high-strung, self-absorbed idiot.

You can easily update your registry online to show the item was purchased.  As a retail cashier, I can't touch your registry unless I have the #/barcode, & they tell me the gift is from a registry.  Even then, I'm relying on technology to correctly work.

  • No biggie, just go in and mark it as purchased on your registry.  I registered at a few different places b/c we had showers in 3 different states and I have to go in after each one to remove items that I had on all 3 registries and I've never felt like it was even a slight hassle so one item should be a piece of cake.

  • I was with my mom when she bought my high chair.  She gave the girl the registry and the girl appeared to scan it...but it never came off.  I had to take it off myself.

My baby monitor came off my registry right away, then two weeks later came back on!  I ended up getting two at my shower. Both women swore they gave in the registry and had it scanned.

I think it's just a glitch sometimes...at least you can return it! (for the lowest sales price, those bastards.)

This is kind of harsh.  It's really frustrating to get two of stuff and have to go return it.

I really dont think she is a self absorbed idiot.... there is no need for name calling...  Just becuase you do your job "correctly" does not mean every other cashier does...

Each of us have reg. vents, I personally have had issueswith BRU and Target....so i guess I am an idiot too since i have to stalk my reg and change things  when people call and tell me something didnt came off...  and i have not even had my showers yet... but i do it... Im sure the OP does to but its just fustrating.

Well, this comment is just a bit un-called for.  But thanks for proving my point as to why I hardly post on the boards.  It's people like you that can really ruin the experience.
