Moms with 8 month olds or close to
Just some questions I have and that I thought others with LO's near this age, may be intersted in:
1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN?
2. Any teeth? If so, how many?
3. How much formula is LO taking and how many times?
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc?
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet?
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love?

1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN? He takes 2 solid 2 hour naps a day (with the exception of a random day here or there when we aren't home). He is a STTN tease, where as he will do it for a few nights, then not do it for the next week, then back to doing it again. He does though only get up one time per night.
2. Any teeth? If so, how many? He has his 2 front bottom ones in, with one top front one, waiting to make an appearance.
3. How much formula is LO taking and how many times? He takes 24 oz per day. (4-6oz bottles every 4 hours)
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc? He just got the hang of puffs this weekend, but still gags on them every once in awhile. I really need to get him started on some other things. Hopefully this thread will give me some ideas!
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet? We give it to him every few days with water in it to practice. He tends to chew on the spout but doesn't seem to get anything out of it quite yet.
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love? He isn't crawling yet, as he seems to think it's easier to just roll everywhere! He loves to play with his light up usical toys and loves loves loves his jumperoo. He loves to go on walks with me in the stroller and gets uberexcited when I sing Itsy Bitsy spider to him!
DS is 8.5 months....
1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN? Always 2, sometimes 3 - anywhere from 30 minute to 1 hour each time. Yes, DS has been STTN since 5 months.
2. Any teeth? If so, how many? Yes, the front 2 on the bottom. First one came in at 7 months/1 week and the 2nd one cut through 2 weeks later.
3. How much formula is LO taking and how many times? He averages 18oz a day - 4 bottles - 4oz after breakfast, 4oz after lunch, 6oz mid day and 6 oz before bed.
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc? Yes, we tried puffs around 6 months but he doesn't like them. We started Mum Mums at 7 months and he loves them. Just last week we started Cheerios... he isn't convinced yet
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet? Yes, we started to try it around 6.5 months, but he isn't really interested. He will hold the handles and raise to his mouth, but he just chews on the nipple rather than suck in the water ...
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love? He loves the musical/light up stacker, he has a steering wheel/dashboard type toy that he sits behind and "drives". He loves anything that makes sounds/noise/lights up. He also still loves his excersaucer.
1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN? 2- 1.5 or 2 hr naps and the occasional 1 nap when we are out and about. STTN..Yes she lays down around 7pm and sleeps till we wake her up at 6:15am.
2. Any teeth? If so, how many? ZERO teeth, but we think she is working on one.
3. How much formula is LO taking and how many times? 3 6oz bottles a day.
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc? Puffs...Yes, table food...we have tried she has no interested in it yet, except for mashed potatoes. She loves those.
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet? She screams bloody murder when I put it near her face.
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love? crawling and getting into everything and her favorite toy is a v-tech musical piano thing. Kendyl loves to be outside so we have been spending a lot of time out with daddy during harvest. She loves to ride in the tractors.
3 naps usually, 10am, 1pm and 5pm. STTN? Nope, although he did for a while. Lately he's waking 2x per night. We bedshare part time, so everyone's getting enough sleep (usually). I'm not in a rush to push STTN.
Any teeth? If so, how many?
2 bottom teeth.
How much formula is LO taking and how many times?
He has 4 bottles a day, 8oz each, so about 32 oz. Sometimes he sneaks in another little one.
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc?
Yes. He loves puffs, yogurt bites, steamed broccoli, and will happily chew on cold carrot or celery.
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet?
Yes, but he mostly wears it. We don't do juice, so it's just water in the cup.
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love?
He is cruising all along the furniture, and trying to stand up in the middle of the floor (eek!). My mom just bought him this little A-frame thing to push around and he thinks it's awesome.
His favorite toy of all is the cat... poor Twizzler!1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN?
usually 3, some are 20-30 minutes but he normally wakes around 7-8am stays up for an hour or so takes his first nape which can go form 45min-1hour the he wakes nurses has lunch plays around 1-2pm he takes his second nap and is usually his longest ranging form 1hour up to almost 3, we get his brother at the stop come home play and around 5-6 he has dinner, then he naps again for about 1 hour max and he wakes in time to see daddy play with him while i get dinner for the 2 of us. his bed time is usually no later than 9:30 for the night though he has gne till 10 when he is wired.
We bedshare so technically yes he sttn BUT he does roll over to dream feed 1-3 times.

uhmm my little dracula has SIX!!! he got his 2 bottom around 5 months 2 top shortly after and his incisors next to the top ones just broke thorugh last week

EBF so not sure on quantities but i usually pump anywhere from 5-8 oz p/session and he has had 8oz bottles with MIL, the 2 days she watches him.

we do a combo of BLW with some slightly pureed food. he loves the happy baby melts and the gerber cheese puff things, for outings i like ella's food packs or the plum packets and so does LO

we started gymboree and he loves it, he is cruising and crawling like crazy, he loves to dance and explore his big brother's "forbidden" toys and chasing after the dogs and cat

back to TTC naturally on our own hoping for another miracle.
Blog
1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN? DD is down to two naps. She takes two, usually around 9:30 till about 10:30-11:00 and then nap #2 at 1:30 till about 3:30/4:00. She was doing a cat nap around 5:430/6:00 but we just cut that out. She is pretty much STTN. There have been a few nights where she wakes up and cries but she puts herself back to sleep.
2. Any teeth? If so, how many? Still no teeth yet but I do see white on the bottom.
3. How much formula is LO taking and how many times? She eats every 4 hours, about 5 oz.
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc? We really have not started any table foods. We tried puffs (banana flavored) and she hated them. I am going to try something else because I want her to learn how to put things in her mouth.
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet? We tried it and she thought it was a toy. I gave it to her when she was in her high chair with some water and she just kept shaking it. She wanted me to hold it for her to feed her. I guess I have to keep trying.
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love? DD still has no desire to crawl. She is loving her jumperoo and seems to rather stand and sit than anything else. She loves anything with music and lights. Loves books.1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN?
She takes 2 generally. The first one is usually about 2 hours and the second one is anywhere between 45mins to 1 1/2 hrs. She started STTN around 4weeks old. She'll wake once a night on occasion (maybe once a week) usually just to eat.
2. Any teeth? If so, how many? none so far
3. How much formula is LO taking and how many times? I EBF, so I'm not sure. I'd guess she takes in about 20oz. When I'm with her, she generally nurses about every 3 hours.
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc? yup, we started giving her little bits of whatever we have for dinner - chicken, noodles, veggies, whatever about a 5 weeks ago. We started puffs about 5 weeks ago too but she didn't start to "get" then till about a week ago. She also loves yogurt melts.
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet? yup, started it around 5 1/2 months with just water. She is just starting to figure it out, but I think the water is boring to her so she's not that interesting. I may start giving it to her with breastmilk in it.
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love? SHe's crawling, which is cool. She's all about pulling up on stuff too, which is scary. She loves any toys she can bang together (she loves to clap and when she claps with toys in her hand it makes a louder noise). She likes her stacker and any books. And anything she can put her in mouth.
1. How many naps does LO take at this point? Is he/she STTN? 2 naps, usually 1.5-2 hours. She sort of STTN. She wakes up, and will usually put herself back to sleep, but every once in a while have to hunt down her paci for her.
2. Any teeth? If so, how many? 4, the 2 middle bottom ones and 2 tops ones, one on each side of where her top middle ones will eventually come in! It actually looks like her canines will come through next!
3. How much formula is LO taking and how many times? 7 ounce bottles, Either 2 or 3 in a 24 hour period. Which I don't think sounds like it's enough, but she is refusing to finish bottles, so she must not be starving!
4. Have you started any type of table foods or any puffs, etc? Yes, Kaygan actually only eats table food. She started refusing purees around 5 months.
5. Have you tried a sippy cup yet? Yes, though she doesn't actually get much out of it on her own. She just can't quite grasp that she needs to tip it up just a bit more. We got her a straw sippy yesterday, and she's getting it figured out. She had it figured out after about 5 min, but must have forgot in her sleep!
6. What is LO up to these days? Favorite toys? What are you doing with them that they seem to love? She has this cookie jar that sings when you put the shapes in, and that's her most used toy at this point. She loves paper of any kind, so that's good and bad!
