Trying to Get Pregnant

CM after ovulation?

Hi ladies,

I have a question, and I'm sorry if it's TMI! Since this is my first cycle charting I'm not one hundred percent sure about CM. FF has me O'ing on Friday. I had what I thought was EWCM that day. Today, at 3DPO, I'm struggling a bit to classify my CM. It's white - pretty solid white I think - but it did stretch just a little. About half an inch is all, really. Would I classify this as creamy or eggwhite? Can you have eggwhite after O'ing? Thanks!

Re: CM after ovulation?

  • Eggwhite. and yes u can after O'ing, it would become creamy and then get dry. also keep in mind CM is not actually CM after sex.

  • It literally looks like uncooked egg whites, so that one is pretty easy to spot.  Some people get it a few days before, some its the day of, other its a day or two after.  For me, I get it the day before or day of.

Have you read Taking charge of your fertility?

I have read some of it, including the parts on CM - I just have trouble when it seems to be somewhere between the two, and I didn't remember reading about EWCM after ovulation. I unfortunately don't have the book with me right now to look it up. Thanks for the info. Smile

And honestly its all about getting to know what YOU do.  The OCM is the same for everyone, which is like uncooked egg whites.

However fluids before O'ing and after are different for each person.  For me, I get the dry and sticky after my period is over and get the milky white before my period and up to the day I start.  I never get milky CM before ovulation, its always dry, then clear, then egg white.
