Ben is picking up 2 or 3 words a day it seems. Last night he repeated all of the letters after me in his ABC book and then he also counts with me, but for now everything is "tew!", 2 is my favorite number also so I can't blame him haha.
Ella's good at building things - she exceeds at stacking 5 cans high of all shapes / sizes. It cracks me up how she'll sit there and look at them to make sure it's stable. Future architect???
She can also count to 10 (more of a pattern though - not sure she understands what it means)
She's gotten really good at listening & following instructions. Like after dinner I'll say (without pointing), "Hey, you kind of made a mess. I need you to clean it up." And she'll actually pick up all the food and give it to me. Or I'll ask her to go find her shoes or her baby or something and she will.

Holly knows about 8 colors, has mastered her shape sorter, has started counting--likes to point out when there are two of something (she'll proudly say "2 big doggies!" etc), makes up her own words to the tune of popular songs, and has become proficient in pushing mommy & daddy's buttons.
Jack has turned into quite a little helper. He loves to help me clean - push the broom or swiffer around, throw things in the trash, put away his toys, dust the coffee table, etc. Apparently, he also cleans up at school and will help his teachers clean the table/floors after mealtime. I'm just hoping he still likes to help me clean in a few years!
We've also been working on saying please and thank you. Several times this weekend, he said thank you when he was given something without being prompted. I'm big on manners so this makes me very proud!
Natalie "reads" "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" and matches quite a lot of the words to the pages she's on. She's also getting pretty good at counting items up to 4 and saying the days of the week (she doesn't yet get the exact order or match it to the day we're on but she definitely grasps that they correspond to moments in time).
Claire is getting pretty good with her fine motor skills, dancing and is on the verge of walking.
R has mastered please and thank you....it's more like "peas" and "dankoo" but she uses them in the correct context. She says "bless you" after we sneeze too. That sounds more like "bassoo" Haha. She also knows the sounds that all farm animals make, she know about 5-6 letters, and follows instruction we give her like bringing us things, cleaning up (not 100% though), etc.
