what are you getting them for christmas? I am just plain out of ideas this year. I know we are going to break down and buy a Wii but other than that I am clueless. Will also do clothes but would like a few smaller objects he could open up.
My son just celebrated his 10th birthday and we got him the Playstation 3 with the Playstation Move. So for Xmas we will probably get him more games to play on it.
Ideas: Games for the Wii, Itunes gift card, IPOD, alarm clock, PJ's, Pillow (we do new pillow and PJ's every year), does he need a new updated bike or scooter, roller blades, books, cheap digital camera.
lego sets? Star Wars, or space agents, or bionicle or something?
books?
construction kits or science experiment kits?
computer games?
We got a Wii the year my kids were 8 and 4, and -- honestly -- neither they nor I remember what else they got that Christmas. The Wii is a BIG deal for kids, and you can expect that it will eclipse everything else. So it's a good year to go light on the other stuff. The year we got ours I bought accessories we'd need and wrapped them up, which was fun. And you know you're going to buy those accessories anyway, so why not give them as Christmas gifts.

The new pillow and pj's is an awesome idea! Now that our DS is getting into pre-teen years, I always put a new toothbrush, tooth paste, deo, shower gel, sponge, shampoo, floss, and a few little games in his stocking! Also, socks, underwear, and maybe an itunes gift card or two!
Re: Mom's of 10 year old, or close, boys...
