If you wrote a letter to your LO...

When do you plan to give it to them? After several failed attempts because of crying every time I sat down to do it I finally wrote my letter to Preston this weekend and am wondering when to give it to him...high school or college graduation? wedding day? birth of his first child?

    I planned to write a letter and plant a tree...I haven't gotten around to planting the tree either...I wanted to plant a fruit bearing tree.

    I would plant a tree but I know we won't be in this house much longer if we can help it.

    I wrote a letter to her about 5 days after she was born, and I wrote a letter to her the night of her first birthday.  I have decided that I am going to write a letter to her on each birthday, and the big things like her first day of school, etc.  I am putting them in a photo album with one picture from the time I wrote the letter.  I haven't decided if I am going to give them to her on her 18th birthday, high school or college graduation or before she gets married yet..I think I'll play that one by ear as the years go on.  You know kinda feel her out for when I think she will most appreciate them.

    That's a very sweet idea!

    I agree with Candi-I think you should think about when your son would most appreciate them, because everyone is different. For me, I'd appreciate it so much more now that I am pregnant than I would have at HS graduation, ya know? My relationship with my mom has grown so much as I have grown up than it was before I got married. But it all depends on the person.

    I still need to update her baby book, get pics added, etc.  I prob will do some of it over Christmas.  I plan on getting a photo album or have one made with everything in it.

    I have been making photo books of every month...I have up to 3 months done and I am always organizing his pictures by month so that whenever I decide to order the next month(whenever shutterfly sends me a coupon code) the pictures are already organized.

    you are MUCH better than me.  I need to do this.  I have the first 4 mos done, just need to do it monthly like you do.  Luckily I have them all on FB and/or on the computer.
