When does your 13 month old take a nap?

Molly is down to 1 nap a day for some reason, it's just been since she started STTN (3 weeks ago).

 Yesterday she didn't take a nap until 1 and slept until 3. Today she is acting exhausted (she woke up at 6) but refuses to nap. 

 I guess this is a two question post. 

1. Does your 13 month old nap more than once a day?

2. If so, when? And how long? and is my child a freak of nature for only napping once?

    My LO recently went down to one nap a day, for the most part, which she takes in the morning (oddly enough b/c she STTN). It's usually about 2 hours.

    In the afternoon, if she gets really fussy, I or DCP will put her in her crib & let her have "quiet" time. She'll cry for about 5 minutes, then play with her stuffed animals for a half hour to an hour, sometimes taking a catnap, but mostly not. Hope that helps!

    My 11 month old dropped to one nap a day one at ten months. She takes her nap from 1-3 and STTN from 7-8. You look great BTW!

    He takes one nap a day and it's 5-6 hours after he wakes up.  It's usually an hour, but rarely we get lucky and he'll sleep 2 hours (like once every 2 months).

    She always takes a morning nap at 10am. It can last from 90 minutes to 2 hours. Most of the time she'll take an afternoon nap around 3 or 4pm for about an hour. She can skip this nap though and still be okay.

    McKenna just started taking 1 nap a day. Even if she acts tired, she will only nap once. I put her down after lunch around 12:30 and she sleeps for about 2 hours.

    I like that it free's the day up a little more, but I still can't wake up early enough to shower/get ready before she is up. I need to figure that part out still. =)

    We are still at two naps here, but I don't think it's abnormal for a 13 month old to have one nap.  I read that usually anywhere between 12 and 18 months is when they lose the 2nd one.  DS naps usually 1-1.5 hrs in the am, and 1.5 hrs in the afternoon.  We've had days where we've only been able to put him down for 1 nap, and he's an absolute mess, so I think we're going to hold on to that 2nd one for awhile yet.

    DD still takes 2 naps per day, usually 10 am and 2:30pm.  They are usually an hour and a half each.  She does not STTN, though.

    Usually around 11am or so at school.  On weekends it's sometimes earlier, sometimes later.  I just go by when he starts acting tired.  He has only taken one nap for the past four or five months.

    DS is "in between" 1-2 naps.  Like Molly, starting changing the pattern up the last few weeks - once he started STTN.

    I try to go by his cues, although it means our days always look different.  Sometimes he is down 3 hours after getting up for a nap, sometimes not for 5 or 6.  Based on the time of his first nap and the length, we try for a second nap or not.  Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

    How's that for wishy-washy??

    I guess I am not much help, more just letting you know we are there too!

    This is us too.  DS used to go down at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. but the past few days he's been napping around 10 or 11 a.m. and then 3 p.m., not sure what's up with that.

    Abby takes 1 nap aday ( since she was about 7 months old) but she wakes up semi late 8 am (today 9!) an naps about 45 mins and in bed by 7-730

     

    ETA- she normally goes down for a nap around 1 or 2 depending on what time she wakes up..im not strict on nap time when ever she seems tired i put her down

    1. My 13mo naps once a day, starting about a month ago when he really started STTN consistently.

    2. His nap is at 1ish - 2:30ish.  I thought when he dropped to 1 nap he would sleep longer but it's been consistently an hour and a bit.
