Infertility

Thanks for all of the AF vibes... She's here!

I truly want to thank all of you wonderful ladies for all of the support you gave me yesterday.  I was having a really bad weekend and you all made it so much better.  My DH even loved reading all of the posts.  He is so happy I have a group to connect with!

AF showed up in full force this morning, so I have called my RE's office to get started on my IUI #4 cycle and my first cycle with injectibles.  I am a little nervous and excited at the same time.

Njohnson - as soon as AF leaves I am sending her your way!  Sending lots of good vibes to everyone and hope you all have a wonderful week.

Thanks again!

Thanks!  I just went to the bathroom (I have been going obsessively looking for AF) and I think I saw a hint of pink on my TP.  I just took some pain reliever to combat the cramps head on!

  • BTW, where in Nola are you?  I used to live there (2000-2004) - pre-Hurricane Katrina.  I go back to visit a couple times a year.  I still have friends there.  I lived in Broadmoor (part of Uptown) and then at the Saulet Apartments for a while.

    I miss New Orleans.

I live in River Ridge now, but lived in Lakeview during Hurricane Katrina so I lost everything in the storm.  I love the Broadmoor area, it is so great and has so much character.  I have a friend that lives in the Saulet apartments now.

Before IF, we were saving money for a down payment on a house in either Old Metairie or back in  Lakeview, but that has been put on hold for a while.

I hope you will come back for a visit soon!  I would love to meet you!

How long have you lived in Houston?  Do you enjoy it?

I lived in River Ridge is some old apartments when I first moved to New Orleans, before we bought a house in Broadmoor.  I have a friend in Old Metairie and in Lakeview.  I can't get over how much Lakeview has changed since the hurricane.

I have been in Houston for 3 years.  The positives - housing costs (you can get a lot of house), good schools, no state tax, good jobs (I make 180% more in Houston 2010 than I did in New Orleans 2004).  The negatives - traffic is awful and the weather is hot in the summer. I miss how eclectic New Orleans is.  And all of the festivals - from Mardi Gras to Jazz Fest to French Quarter Fest.  So much to do.
