Pregnant after a Loss

NBR plantar wart on foot - how to treat while pregnant?

Has anyone had a plantar wart on your foot and if so what did you treat it with while pregnant? I keep reading not to use salicylic acid while pregnant which seems to be in all the wart tx I find. Anyone got any home remedies or other things to try? TIA

  • Sounds crazy but I have heard that duck tape works as well as many over the counter treatments... you just cut off a piece stick it on and replace when it falls off.

  • Freezing them is a good way to go. I think you can get some freezing stuff over the counter these days.

This.  Dr. Scholl's has some and CompoundW.  I know because I got one from the gym.  :-(  YUCK!

  • I've heard the duct tape thing, too.

TBH, I used the over-the-counter stuff on a common wart on my finger. It was such a tiny little thing and used such a little amount of the med that I didn't really worry about it.

  • Bless you, the two times I had plantar warts I had to go to a dermatologist and they used a laser to cut them off.  I don't know if you can do that while pregnant or not. (I am diabetic so I can't use the at home treatments.)
