C-Section Incision Leaking Question

I'm 4 weeks pp and my c-sectinon incision is still leaking and sore. Everytime that I call the doctor..they tell me that this is normal and that I shouldn't worry about it.

Is or has this happen to anyone else. My mom and DH do not want me to drive because of the soreness and I'm really tired of depending on other people .

If you are worried, I would have a second opinion. Mine never leaked and I felt fine early on, but it is different person to person. Leaking, though, I have never heard of...

I can't remember when exactly mine stopped leaking, but it was sore and leaking for awhile. I was told as long as it doesn't smell or isn't infected that it could be awhile.

It is hard have to depend on others but enjoy it while you can, I would love for someone to drive me around right now!

Not to freak you out or anything, but my incision never leaked and I haven't heard of leaking to be normal (maybe I missed something?) Personally, I'd try to get a second opinion somewhere...

My incision leaked for nearly 6 weeks as I still had open pockets after the staples were removed. My doctor explained that this was due to fatty pockets that were healing slower than the skin and they had to heal from the inside out. Have you had your PP check up yet? Do you have any open spots on your incision? My discharge was "raspberry iced tea" colored - as my OB put it. Hope that helps!

Mine leaked alot and by the second week had opened up. I ended up with a wound VAC after having to have it packed with gauze for a few days. Just now at 12 weeks pp I was discharged from wound care. If you are at all concerned and feel your doctor is not listening to you get a second opinion.

Mine never leaked but if i were you, I would get a second opinion to make me feel better. HTH!

seems odd. I had a little bleeding in the 2nd week and my dr wanted to see it. Get a 2nd opinion
