do you swaddle with arms straight or bent?

i'm reading "the happiest baby one the block", which insists that arms straight by the sides is the way to go, but i'm reluctant since my baby prefers arms bent. do you guys force the straight arms when you swaddle?

Yup, straight arms. He fought it a bit, but then once he was in there, he was quite happy.

I think they suggest straight so they can't get out as easy - your babe is little - do whatever you think works well....in the end, its realy about doing what works.

FWIW: I did straight bc she was a hoodini from the get go!
