I go to allina in Shakopee and it's connected to the hospital St. Francis where I'll be delivering. My OB is Dr. Griffiths and he's been great! I've also heard that the Midwives at St. Francis are good as well. I'm due next week. There is also prenatal yoga that I take at the hospital through Blooma and it's on Tuesday nights...something you might want to look into. Good Luck and welcome to Shakopee!
I delivered my first son at St Francis. Although I had an unpleasant delivery, and have since heard many bad things about there, I did really love the Midwives at Park Nicollet.
Dr Mark Anderson was the on call OB who did my c section, and I wouldn't recommend him if you go with an OB

I had LO at St. Francis last Nov, and had a GREAT experience there. And the people I have talked to have said great things.

I'm surprised too that you had a bad experience. I 2nd Dr. Druckman. I even considered driving the hour back to see him when I found I was pg.
He has delivered for two of my friends and SIL. My SIL also works with him and says he is well liked by all the staff.
I am seeing the midwives at Park Nicollet connected to St. Francis. I have only met one so far (there are three that you rotate with) but I really liked her and they came very highly recommended to me by my sister who had her last two kiddos with them. I see the 2nd one tomorrow.
I really like the idea of knowing who will be delivering me since I will have met and had appointments with all 3 of them.

I 3rd Druckman! Saw him for all my prenatal care, although Dr Larson did my C section at St Francis. She was nice too, and I have a very straight small scar.
We used the Park Nicollet Midwives. They are located in an office attached to St Francis. Our DS was born in March. All of the midwives were wonderful and my delivery was even better than I could have imagined. They really work with you and keep you informed. All of the nursing staff at St Francis were outstanding as well. I highly recommend the Midwives and St Francis. Welcome to Shakopee by the way!
