stupid/gross question regarding CM

Do I have to stick my fingers up my vag to check my CM? Can I just rely on the toilet paper looking "shiny" when I wipe to determine it's EWCM?

Sorry, but you're the only people that can answer this (or that would even entertain such a question)!

I don't trust the TP. I check in the shower, it cuts down on the 'ew' factor.

I do it both ways. Sometimes I can tell by looking at the tp. Sometimes I have to finger-bang myself to tell wtf I'm dealing with down there. KWIM?

Shiny doesn't distinguish between watery and EW though. I usually check both ways, bc there were times I thought it was watery and a finger bang revealed creamy.

never thought of it that way. It really is egg-whitish for me, and super stretchy. Also- is that an airdale in your siggy? DH grew up with one & loves them.

I check TP, but it is important to check the same way. If you check internal one day and the TP on another, you could be missing important info that might change your chart.

EWCM stretches. If it is an inch or more in stretch, it is EWCM. If it is EWCM's doppleganger but doesn't stretch, it is watery. Creamy looks like lotion, and sticky is the stuff that isn;t there enough to be creamy, KWIM?

I check the TP instead of fingerbanging because I get a decent amount of CM around O. I will only change my methodology if my CM dries up a significant amount. If I have to poop, I check it before and after. I'll check it in the shower, but I stay on the outside. For me it helps me kabosh the crazy, and when I see a lot of CM, DH gets bad things done to his special no no place.

I vote this most helpful thread of the week! I need to get more in tune w/ my CM. Usually I have to pee so dang bad, I forget to check it. The 1% times I remember, I do a quick finger swipe, not so much a fingerbang. But I'm totally open to trying it

I can't check with toilet paper. There is no way i'd ever see anything. Most of the time a just swipe with a finger, but sometimes I have to check up the vag. It sucks.
