It is weird - even this morning my husband commented how much smaller my bump felt/looked. I know baby is fine bc I listened w the doppler. Wonder why the bump looks so much tinier today? I'm almost 18 weeks and up about 5 1/2 lbs. Wondering if I should have gained more by now? This is the farthest I've ever gotten in a pregnancy.

Re: why is my bump getting smaller?
As far as weight gain goes, I think you're fine. I didnt gain anything until 20w.
sometimes its just the way baby sits. s/he could be closer to your back right now or snuggled in down low.

I agree with this! I still technically havent gained any weight with the twins. I was placed on the GD diet and lost weight, on Wed. I was finally back to my prepregnancy weight.

Well this is probably the explanation. I was just going to add, though, that a lot of women say that their bloating decreases in the second trimester. That could also be making your bump appear smaller.
