I take it from your siggy and the mention of juice he is now getting a solid meal each day, we had/have pooping difference after introducing solids too. It started with 4 days, then another 3 day stretch and after that we took him to pedi. At that point we had to do a suppository to remove in blockage that might be holding him back. He still goes stints of 3-5 days without pooping and the pedi said that is acceptable with having introduced solids.
If he doesn't by 5-7 days or especially if he does and there is blood take him in and get further instructions from your pedi. All I can tell you is our pedi recommended apple prune juice and we now have introduced plums and he still doesn't poop every day.
I was shocked when I was told by my pedi that a LO can go 7 days without having a poop (when they're EBF) and it's totally normal, and up to 5 days if they are FF. 7 (or 5!) days without pooping sounds awful to me!
But like a PP said, if your LO is not in pain, then I wouldn't worry about it. When it hits the 5 day mark, I'd at least discuss it with your pedi and tell him/her all you've tried. The typical juice, temp, bicycling, etc did NOT help with DS-- but a warm bath did. If he soaked in the warm bath with me it was almost guaranteed that he was going only shortly after. You could try that?
Re: Baby hasn't pooped in THREE DAYS...
This. Esp, if he's BF. My daughter goes every other day or every 3. And when she does it's a mess!
