BC I'm bored...Hair growth & Gender

Sorry this is definitely an early pregnancy topic but I'm bored and was checking out my belly and thought I'd see what the consensus is tonight.

Do you think hair growth during pregnancy is at all related to baby's gender? (specifically the "claim" that if you're having a boy the extra testosterone in your system causes more hair growth). Or does it carry as much weight as all the other old wives tales (meaning none really lol). I have extra hair around my jaw line Ick! (luckily its light!) and on my belly, DH thinks that this means we're having a boy (we are team green).

What did you find with your pregnancies?

I'm not a hairy person....but it def sprouted up a little during preg. We're having a boy...

I have a boy and am 38 weeks pregnant with a girl right now... have noticed no difference in hair growth from before/during pregnancy and with girl/boy pregnancy. I did get a dark linea negra with my son, though, and no line with my daughter...

When I was pg with ds the hair on my legs grew super fast and I grew dark hair on my belly. This time I have normal hair growth and no belly hair, and I'm having a girl. So it's true for me.

I haven't noticed any difference and we are having a boy. My husband is really hairy and I have had wicked heartburn (another OWT), so I am expecting a hairy little baby boy.

I don't have hair in more places, but the hair I do have is just growing really fast.

I have hairs growing along my jawline and under my chin during both pregnancies. And it has nothing to do with gender; my first was with a boy and this time with a girl. But I will admit to getting excited thinking it was a boy before we found out it was a girl because of it lol.

I think the hair growth on my legs has slowed down, and normally I get a hair under my chin but have not had one this entire pregnancy. I'm having a girl but no other pregnancy to compare with.

My first was a girl and no hair growth, my hair on my head is thicker and grows faster this time with my DS. Also I have some hair by my belly button and my leg hairs do seem to grow in faster. So its def true for me.

I'm having a boy, too, but haven't noticed any different hair growth or thickness or anything! I agree with a PP that maybe leg hair growth has been a little slower, however.
