Gross...possible TMI, but want to know...

Could horrible gas and period like cramps be a sign that labor is coming? I know that gas can be common in pregnancy...but it's like out of control...haha...and accompanied by some uncomfortable cramps (not rhythmic or regular, just cramps down low and in my back).

I was checked last Monday and was only 1cm or so, haven't been checked since. I'm curious because my DR is considering induction for early next week due to my high blood pressure. Haven't lost my plug yet (at least that I've noticed), but I definitely feel like something is going on. What do you think, especially 2nd time moms?

Hmm, I think they can be very early signs of labor. Usually just before actual labor I hear you get more rythmic contractions, usually have diarrhea and may throw up.

Everyone is different though so I'm not too sure. If I had to guess I would say very very early signs of labor but I certainly wouldn't start counting your chickens.

Odd question, but have you eaten a lot of fiber lately? I had a lot yesterday due to... um... issues... and it caused me to have HORRIBLE gas and some cramping. So maybe that's why? I don't know though, I've never been in labor before so maybe its a very early sign of labor.
