Anyone have any ideas for a venue for a baby shower? I know there is a post below, but we aren't really looking for a restaurant. We are kinda on a time crunch too
Not a restaurant...thinking...thinking....oh! how about at a park? the weather might still cooperate. Must parks have areas meant to hold events like a gazebo type thing for lack of better word. I've been to two parties like that, one at Prairie Oaks out west and one at the Coffman park in Dublin (really nice facility by the way). Just go to metro parks website or city of dublin website and most cities like dublin, worthington etc have other facilities for rent besides outdoor spaces. That's my two cents. Good luck. Keep us posted on what venue you decide!
Not sure if this counts as a shelterhouse, but at North Bank Park (on 33 almost downtown) they have a neat structure that is all glass and if the weather is nice would be pretty.

I have no idea about the township hall idea? I could look into it! Thanks
And yes, I looooove North Bank but it is too expensive for a shower! (IMO) Plus, you have to rent for 4+ hours on the weekends, and I don't think my shower would last that long!
My favorite baby shower location was when my best friend had hers at a "tea room." I am not sure where there's one around here, but it's a nice, quiet and girly place to have one. We'll probably have ours at our family's church- has sort of a cafe style room.
I had my baby shower at the Columbus Maennerchor you can see their website online and they have different rooms you can rent. Of course it isn't a free location and you have to provide your own decorations, but it was nice, and the people that work there are great. Plus a big bonus is it has parking.

My Blog: Naturally Mindful
I checked the metro park shelterhouses and they are all booked
Boo!
I think we will be stuck in cramming everyone into my grandma's house! Our weather is too erratic for me to chance something outdoors!

Do your or any of your close fam members belong to a church? You can normally rent out rooms very cheap some just have a cleaning fee to use a room.
