  • haha - I find it amusing!
  • It would be really funny if I wasn't still so on edge about mine. The sentiment is cute.

  • I'm not being defensive because I had 3 vaginal deliveries, but I still find that "joke" to be in poor taste.

    Yes

  • I guess I'm still pregnant then.
  • Hmm

Seriously?  I have a pretty good sense of humor, but that's in really bad taste.

I'm guessing you had a vaginal birth.  If you had to have a c-section you won't find the joke nearly as funny.

  • Soooo not funny. Too soon to joke about it, especially when you had 19 1/2 hours of labor, 2 1/2 hours of pushing, and then STILL needed a C-section. No

Actually I DID have a c-section.  I thought it was funny.  Get over it.

  • You had to know that posting this, you would get this type of reaction.

FTR, I had a vaginal delivery. I can sorta see the humor in it but I can also see how it would totally rub me the wrong way if I had had a c-section.

Not at all.  I had a c-section and took no offense to this whatsoever.  I guess I'm not that sensitive about having a c-section.  To each is own.

  • If nobody told jokes that were in poor taste there would be no comedians.

Just to be clear... I do think this joke is kinda funny.  It's not a statement about c-section.  It's just a funny.  And it works!  It's not delivery.  It's DiGiorno!!! So funny!

  • It depends on how you feel about delivery vs. digiorno.  I think digiorno sucks compared to a freshly deliverd pizza so I would assume that's what you meant.  If you however enjoy your digiorno more than I personally do then maybe you think c-sections are better.  Or maybe I am way overthinking this.... I think option 3 is right. ;)

uh.  yeah, I've heard of it.  I don't live under a rock.

There is a large contingent of people who will tell women who've had c/s that they didn't give birth.  The idea of that is offensive.  They jokes about it, har-de-har, and expect us to laugh.

So, cesareans not being delivery -being something "other" - nope.  Still not funny.
