I hate to complain...

but I have been worried about NOT having morning sickness yet and today it hit big. UGG. I don't know how I survived working before and feeling sick. I almost threw up at the grocery store this morning and I keep smelling things that smell so gross to me. I forgot any nausea tricks, I've got some Sierra Mist and pretzels and crackers. But I feel hungry but I can't bring myself to eat anything. Any food suggestions?

  • I remember those days.  I ate a ton of cereal early on.  The blander the cereal the better.  I ate kix for the first trimester at least twice a day, now my stomach flips just thinking about it. LOL. Hang in there.

  • Oh no! When I was pregnant with Keira I went through every cracker ever made to keep me from throwing up all over my office. That's how I still gained weight while feeling icky and having no appetite! haha

Try ginger ale and sparking water,  sucking on hard candy, (lollypops, preggy pops, jolly ranchers, etc), eating dry cereal like cheerios and kix, crackers or bland carbs (bagels are my friend right now), and try and eat a few bites of something every hour or so to have something in your tummy, even if it is just a cracker or two or a small handfull of cereal or nuts.

Smells are the worst. Hang in there, hope you feel better soon. M/S is definitely bitter sweet. :)

  • I ate gingersnaps whenever I had a twinge of nausea (i was very lucky to never have full blown morning sickness).  Also - I had some ginger candy I munched on too.

  • The only thing that worked for me was Lemon Drops (hard candy) - they never failed me. I also ate and drank my fair share of saltines and ginger ale but they never helped...it was the only thing that tasted good.

I hope you find relief somewhere :)

  • I was a teacher, and my "morning sickness" hit every day at lunch time.  The kids always asked my coteacher where I was running to.  Then I couldn't sit with any kids who had eggs in their lunches.  ENJOY!
  • Grapefruit actually helped me....not sure that it would do any good for anyone else, though.
