Frustrated right now.

So when I was laid off I was still given a 30 day "look for a job" time period. Today is my offical laid off date

In my paperwork I was told we would be getting a direct depost of our last checks (Oct 8-15th) on our last day of work.. IE Today.. nothing.

Also I get another 30 days of pay and my severence which should come FedEx.. still nothing.

I called HR got VM, left message requesting why no $$ was direct deposited and what the tracking number for FedEx.. nothing.

I really do not want to leave the house and have them come and leave almost $11K worth of checks on my doorstep. WTF...

    Ooh, that is frustrating.  HR is probably the best place to call, but if they're not answering, is there someone else you can contact - like your former supervisor or a former co-worker in the same situation (you say "we" so I'm assuming you're not alone in this).  GL - and I'm glad you got a new job again so quickly!

    That's irritating.... I can't believe they wouldn't have all that straight.

    As for calling HR.... I know I've heard horror stories about trying to get ahold of them after a layoff.  GL to you!  I hope you get your monies!

    That is really crappy policy. You should get your money or at least hear about where your money is by the day you were supposed to receive it. I agree with PP. You should try calling your previous boss/supervisor and let them know there's a problem. But, no offense, I would LOVE to come home to $11K sitting on my doorstep...haha.

    Yeah - you don't want to leave that kind of cheddar sitting on your doorstep.  That is really irritating that you have to sit and wait - wait for FedEx, wait for HR.  I hope everything gets straighted out for you today.
