~~ZERO SPERM / AZOOSPERMIA CHECK IN~~
This
is a place for any of you who are experiencing the world of
azoospermia. Whether you were recently diagnosed and are trying to make
sense of it all, or you have started preparing for IVF or IUI, or have
decided instead to move on to adoption. Please join in the group by
posting! Check in is on Thursdays.
Learning
that the chances of having a biological child with your husband are
slim to none is not easy, and is, frankly, devastating news. This check
in is a place where we can share how we are coping (or not) with our
new realities, provide information we've learned through investigating
our options, adjusting our lifelong dreams and plans, and dealing with
the situation.
I'd
like to extend an invitation to those who have been fortunate enough to
experience pregnancy, childbirth, and/or adoption. Ultimately, all of
us desire to create a family. The experiences and insight of those who
have reached that goal will be quite helpful to those of us on that
road.

Update: I think we've decided to go ahead and have my fibroid removed but now I'm a little freaked out. The RE described it like a c-section incision only smaller. oh... and I don't get to bring a baby home with me :P. We only have about a 30% chance of this working and it seems like so much for such a small chance.
I am just angry and beyond frustrated with life right now.
QOTD: I'm not really sure. I was in a car accident in a bigger pickup truck when I was in high school and now I get pretty anxious when I'm in bigger vehicles.
YellowD- hope you have some great little embies to transfer!
gidge- GL! hope having the fibroid removes really helps

QOTD: Heck yeah, I love minivans and I'm hoping I need a reason to buy one! I drive a crossover right now, it's a Pontiac Torrent and I love it but I wouldn't mind a minivan.

I talk to Lem10585 frequently, she had a little girl last month. Her DH's sperm count came back after he was taken off the meds he was on.
Update on me: I have an appt. tomorrow. I have to do the Clomid Challenge to see how my body reacts to it. She said they will base my dosage and IVF meds off of that. So tomorrow is my blood work up and u/s. I'm excited to get the process started for IVF. DH is going to have a repeat S/A soon to see if the Arimidex is helping to produce anything. We will then decide if we are still going to wait until June or consider IVF sooner.
ETA: I forgot the question: I will never say never, but right now we have an Escape and I think that is big enough for 2. But we did rent and Odyssey van to go to the mountains with my parents 2 years ago. I wouldn't mind one of those if we need the extra room. They have so much more storage than an SUV and the two captains chairs would be great for kids I think.

PrincessShay update, they moved onto foster care to adoption and brought home a 5 week old baby girl in the beginning of the year. Their little girl is now 9 months old. they hope to adopt her in the near future.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

Nothing new here except that we have an appointment November 1st to get a second opinion. I'm not really sure what I am expecting to hear, but i'm told you should always get a second opinion.
QOTW: I do like some mini-vans. Maybe someday I would drive one. Right now I drive a Toyota Highlander and love it!!!
Update: Nothing new to report, except our dry spell (of cocktails, not sex) has continued. We have always taken up walking during what used to be cocktail hour. Trying to be healthier to get H's numbers and motililty up.
