**Lucky*Ducky** - update please!

Hey there --

Back in September, you posted about your son having trouble making friends at school.  Every time I see his cute picture in one of your posts, I think about him and wonder if it's going better.

How's he doing, now that the school year is better under way?

High School English teacher and mom of 2 kids:

DD, born 9/06/00 -- 12th grade
DS, born 8/25/04 -- 7th grade

    He is doing better.  :)  Dh and I went to eat lunch with him and he was pointing out all of his friends and it was like we became instant rock stars.  Everyone wanted to talk to Landons mom & dad.  When we got there though he was playing with 2 boys with some cars in the classroom before going to lunch.   

    I was just afraid he was at school all day playing alone.  The first 3wks he said he didnt really play with anyone.  That was my concern.  I dont expect bffs this year but its nice to know he puts himself out there to make a friend.

    Oh -- I'm so glad! Things are pretty flexible in kindergarten; they're all just sorting out HOW to do this friendship thing.  But nothing is more agonizing than the fear that your child is not doing well socially.
