Medicine question

Hey guys,

Tyler has diarreah really bad and has 6 loose bowel movements today.

I am going to call the dr. in the morning but is there something I can give him to get his through the night?

    pedialite (sp) to keep him hydrated.  Bananas to slow things down.

    ditto above - also avoid fruit juice, and follow the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, toast

    I agree with the previous posts.

    Dr's don't usually recommend any type of medication to stop diarrhea because if it's a virus, it needs to run it's course.   You just have to stay on top of things and make sure he doesn't get dehydrated.

     Hope he feels better soon!
