how long does it take for prune juice to work?

good morning ladies, dd is on day 4 with no poops. so the pedi just called and said to use some prune juice and water twice a day, but i didnt think to ask how long it takes to work. anyone know?

i give ds 1/2 oz prune juice and 1/2 oz water in the am and it has taken anywhere from a few hours to a whole day to work

I did this yesterday with my DD...and I have had a morning full of...well, "presents" if you will. Hmm

It took overnight for her.
