FisherPrice Little Lamb Swing...making loud noise?

Hey ladies,

First time writing on this board. Hello

I am going next week to have our first baby

Quick question for you... do any of you have the Little Lamb Fisher Price Swing/Cradle? If so does yours make a loud motor like noise when you you use the settings to make the swing sway back and forth..

DH and I put it together and acutally brought and back and got another one today and this one is making the exact same sounds....

Anyone else notice this?

I havent noticed that yet.. but we are constantly noticing more and more that we dont like.. I think this might be a return for us..

It is loud - but I love it and so does LO. I remember before I bought it reading that it was loud -- but then also reading that most of them are loud.

Yep ours does the same thing. I heard somewhere, not sure if this board or not, of someone calling Fisher Price and them sending them a replacement part for it. But when I called they did troubleshooting and determined the noise I was hearing was "normal." My parents recently visited and said that despite the noise, it's a hell of a lot quieter than the swings they ever had when me or my siblings were little.

Mine makes the noise, but it doesn't bother me, and I think it's actually soothing to LO since it's rhythmic and somewhat soothing

It makes a decently loud noise. But we found it makes an even louder noise if you don't spread the legs out far enough. So it might be a good idea to check that.

We don't use the auto swing function, because it freaks me out how fast & high it goes. We just swing her ourselves. (It does make that noise, though.)

we did the EXACT same thing as you and considered returning the swing for something else however when we checked with our friends who have other brands/models of swings, we found that most swings make the same noise. our DS loves his swing and i think the noise is comforting to him (white noise). we don't even hear the noise anymore.

This. Also, we give it a push to get it going when we turn it on. Seems to help the motor. DS likes the mechanical noise I think. We have gotten used to it.
