Look at the drug stash I have compiled in my extra bedroom. And this is just for a FET, not a fresh IVF which requires MORE meds! I think I need to buy a new little dresser to hold all of this stuff...

You know, I could be doing IVF in a few months and seeing all those drugs really makes me wonder if they will all be covered by my insurance.....They said IVF is covered for 3 cycles lifetime but what about the meds?? Anyone have any experience with this?
Well I totally lucked out. My insurance doesn't cover IF meds like Follistim or anything, but they do cover all of the endometrin, PIO, and Lovenox. I am going to request a total out of pocket cost for all the meds I have for taxes, but I think it's somewhere around 1k for a fresh cycle and this FET. But, that doesn't count the Follistim or Menopur... luckily those were donated to me.

Well we decided that once we use our remaining tries that we paid for, we are done. So I am going to donate all of my leftover stuff as soon as I have a baby in my arms or we are done with IVF. It's just too much stuff. Beleive it or not I have more than the pictures show. Ugh.
WOW. I just looked up the drugs you mentioned on my insurance drug formulary website and the only one they covered is endometrin.
I'm kind of glad I know this now...Here I am thinking IVF's are covered and I have nothing to worry about if I need to go there in the next few cycles and I was sooo wrong. Time to start saving pennies!!

And THAT is why I started both crying and laughing when I picked up my IVF meds at the pharmacy... it's both overwhelming and just downright ridiculous!
Huge HUGS! I didn't think there would be that many drugs involved in a FET... what do I know, huh?
I had my meds delivered to my office b/c they required a signature - it was a ridiculously huge box and hard to hide
IVF nor meds is covered under my insurance and the first 14 days of meds (which is all they went ahead and ordered) was $4100 OUCH
Wow! I'll have to clean out a new cabinet for medicine. Or stop putting alcohol and medicine in the same cabinet. Good luck!!!
BIG hugs!!! When we received our box of meds, DH was freaking out....I was trying to be calm but the amount of needles put him over the edge. And we didn't even get enough stimming meds, I had to get more near the end of the stimming cycle!!!
