Hi ladies! I normally don't post on these boards, but I just had an awful experience that I had to share with people who would understand. I'm little far into my second trimester to still be experiencing morning sickness, but I caught a horrible whiff of raw meat going down an aisle nearby, and completely lost it! I vomited all over myself and the floor. I was mortified! Luckily DH was with me and flagged someone down almost immediately to help clean up. I collected my purse and decided to sit the rest of our grocery shopping trip in the car.
So it got me thinking... where was the worst place you vomited/experienced morning sickness during pregnancy? How did you handle it? Hopefully I'm not alone in this!
Re: Just threw up in public
I haven't had any m/s thank god but I'm so sorry this happened to you, I can imagine how that felt but hopefully you don't feel too embarrassed, you're pregnant, not hungover!
With as bad as I felt in first tri, I still can't believe I didn't/don't see women all over yakking out of their cars, in stores, parking lots, hurrying and skurrying to the restrooms..
Sunday I had to run to the bathroom of the sports bar we go to to watch the football games that aren't televised here. In the two minutes it took to drive from the house there I'd gotten car sick and lost the roast beef sandwich I ate for breakfast!
The worst place for me was in the mall. On my way to the restroom I had to stop and throw up a bit in a gatbage can...in public.
Ive thrown up all over in public and it sucks but what are you going to do? The main thing I was worried about was people were going to think I was drunk and not pregnant!!
With my first pregnancy I was in the back of my mom's van and wasn't feeling great anyway, and she hit a bump or the car jerked suddenly and I told her that she had to pull over or I was going to be sick... she asked if I could hold it in until we got home which was like 10 minutes away and I'm like NUH UH PULL OVER NOW... she did, and I jumped out onto some grass while she threw her flashers on and I puked beside a tree. It was rush hour so I'm sure the more attentive passengers of the cars saw me, if not a few drivers at least. Just kind of got back in the van and we went and found me some water.
This pregnancy, I was grocery shopping and refilling my prescription for my nausea pills at the same time, but had run out the day before so I had missed enough that they weren't in my system anymore... I managed to struggle through the rest of groceries and get back to the car but once we were there I was in the driver's seat and had to open the door really quick so I could puke out the side. There was no way I was puking in my car! I was parked in the stall reserved for expectant mothers and parents of small children so I'm hoping that even though I wasn't showing at all, that anyone who saw me understood why I was getting sick.

Things to avoid during pregnancy: Eye contact with cats. Cats will suck the burgeoning life right out of you, using their infamous feline mind-powers. Avert your eyes, and move along.
FACT: 1 in 10 people are said to be a carrier of Listeria. Therefore you should avoid all shopping malls, grocery stores and busy street corners for the duration of your pregnancy. Or microwave anyone you contact until steaming, just to be safe.
I've had a cold since I got my BFP, and it's just an annoying nose drip all the time. Anyway, sometimes the 'load' is too heavy to go into my nose to be blown out, and it starts going down my throat so I have to spit it out.. and I was in the walmart parking lot, just put my cart up, kids in the van, and had to spit some. I hurled a bit right there!! I was mortified. I did manage to stop myself, but I got out one or two heaves before I managed to stop myself. I then had to use some of the water in my water bottle to try to wash away the mess.
When I was pg with DS, my first, every morning I got off the bus from Ikego to Yokosuka for work I'd HAVE to hurl- and I did it in front of the same building/bushes every time!! It rained most nights, but the nights it didn't rain I'd go to toss up and yesterday's vomit would be sitting there still. And the smell of the moldy earth.. To this day I can't smell that smell without needing to gag or hurl.
In the trashcan in the lobby of the building of nurses I supervise. I was only 7 weeks. EVERYONE knew I was pregnant then.
Also..in my car. I keep those blue clinic vomit bags with me just in case now.

Where haven't I puked? I'm so sick of it already!!!

After my cerclage two nurses were doing doppler on the babies and I told them I was going to be sick. They gave me a bucket and didn't stop, so I hurled while they did it, with my parents and husband watching.
I have also thrown up into a bathtub that was occupied by me.
Pregnancy is very glamorous.
