Team Green, Come In

How are you feeling about being Team Green as we get closer to meeting our LOs?

Personally, I was much more anxious before.  Now I'm really looking forward to the unveiling of the surprise.  Like a birthday present that I know is going to be good, but a million times better!  I feel like I've settled nicely into my Team Green-ness.  Geeked

Re: Team Green, Come In

  • I'm actually getting more and more anxious to find out what we're having.  I was super calm about it before and now I'm itching to know.  I think it's because my husband has me convinced it's a boy...

  • I was fine about being team green and I'm glad we still are, because I can't wait to hear my midwife announce if its a boy or girl...but I wish I knew what we were having as far as planning things. I really would love to order a stocking with my baby's name on it and I want to make Christmas ornaments with our baby's name embroidered on it, and just make a bunch of personalized items. So that's the only reason why I'm a little disappointed that we haven't found out.
  • I am kind of sad it will be over soon. =( I feel so strongly that I will have another girl, that I am afraid DH will be let down. He has wanted a boy since we got pregnant with DD1, and it is freakin me out a bit. Even though in all my U/S tech could not see any goods, she made a guess of "girl" just because there was nothing "poking out" behind LOs legs. So I guess my feeling is stronger because of that?

  • I was all about being Team Green around 20 weeks... but with every ultrasound I have it's getting more and more suspenseful. I'm dying to know!! We have a baby pool going and everyone is taking guesses. It's so much fun! My gut says girl... but my gut said boy for DD and she is obviously NOT a boy!

  • I always wanted to find out but my husband didn't, so I let him have his way. It's driving me crazy, especially now that we're getting closer. I really want to know. Next time I think it's my turn to get my way!
  • I keep thinking "I can't wait to find out!" but that's not quite right, because with the bedrest and contractions, I need to wait and it would certainly be best for LO to bake awhile longer.  But I am so excited!  btw, I am recovering from getting pooped on by a bird in the backyard this afternoon.  In my hair.  Totally gross.  What are the odds?

  • I am excited to find out, but definitely glad that we made the decision to be team green.  I think it is going to be so much fun calling and telling everyone after LO has arrived.

  • OP-I'm the opposite of you.  The closer it gets the more anxious I am to know, whereas earlier on it really didn't bother me not knowing.  We are doing a baby pool too, so that's been fun.  I am still glad to be Team Green, but I am just excited to find out!
  • I am loving it, one of the best decisions we ever made! My gut says boy but lots of people are saying girl. I will tap my belly at night and say "are you a boy or a girl?" I get taps back but not sure what the answer is....
  • I am loving it too!  My husband convinced me to not find out.  I'm a planner and just didn't think I had it in me to wait.  It's been so fun to think about, I'm so excited he convinced me!  However, I have been convinced it's a boy from day 1, and EVERY single person we see guesses boy, so I feel like I already know.  I wish I didn't have a guess so that I'd be shocked no matter what.  I feel like if it's a girl I will pass out, and if it's a boy I will just be like, "yeah I know."

  • I am soooo excited for delivery day.  We actually found out with dd and ds, but this time around we both agreed it would be more exciting to be surprised.  I don't regret the decision at all.  I don't know if I could have done this with the other  kids, but i'm glad we are doing it this time around.

This is me. I wasn't expecting anymore u/s but now that I'm scheduled for one in two weeks, I'm finding myself anxious to know and plan. But I'm not going to cave.

  • I am beyond excited! I absolutely can't wait to find out if LO is a he or a she. My intuition still says girl, but everyone else around me says it's going to be a boy (mainly because of OWT-I'm carrying low, didn't have morning sickness, HR is consistently at 140, etc). I have to have an ultrasound tomorrow morning, since baby hasn't been moving around as much. OB doesn't think it's anything to worry about, but she wants to be 100% sure. lol I'm afraid the sonographer will slip up and say he or she!

  • I'm not super anxious, but I am having a ton of fun guessing!

Between work & Facebook there are 6 other people I know having babies around the same time- all are girls except for one boy...which makes me lean toward boy to balance things out a bit.

Then, my gut says girl- but last time my gut was WAY off.

My DD says we're having a "girl baby" (although, she's also said we're having a "baby meow meow"...so she might not be the best gauge, LOL).

Everything about this pregnancy has been like last time- except the HR has been 140 instead of 160.

I really have NO idea at all, and it's so fun to hear what people think! :D

  • I'm very proud we decided to be Team Green and wouldn't change a thing.  While I'm excited to meet LO, I'm also a bit sad that there will be some finality to it- no more wondering.

  • I'm ready to know, and everyone else is even more ready to know because they want to know what to buy! I don't think it would affect my purchase choices, really. But other people like boyish and girlish things.

I'm really glad we didn't find out, though. It would be nice to use a pronoun when referring to this baby, but that's all that's annoying right now.

  • I'm so excited and anxious at the same time.  Every time the baby moves, I think, who's in there!!  I can't wait to find out!
