   we donated with DS1 and wanted to with the twins, but they don't take donations from twins b/c they can't get enough to be worth the cost...  here are 2 great posts with good info/opinions.  Most doctors I know (and i know hundreds of them b/c i work in pharma) are all for donations - unless you have a known disease in the family that can be cured --- it's rarely worth it to bank.

  we chose alphacord.  it's stored at same nj facility as the public donation site for the state, as well  as where some of the bigger cord names store... just our decision.. and much cheaper
