Ideas on keeping indoor dog away from baby laying on floor...

We have a large dog (Weimaraner) who is sweet as can be and who loves LO... But when LO lays on floor, tummy time, playmat, etc it's hard to keep the dog away. Just by nature, her normal walking could really hurt LO if she accidentally stepped on her. Any ideas for ways to train dog or ways to prevent dog from walking near LO?

I thought about putting up one of those baby gate fence things, but that feels like LO is caged in.

    We taught our dogs to stay off a blanket if it's on the floor before DS was born.  We put him on a bigger blanket than needed so the dogs have to walk far away from him to get around the blanket. 

    Otherwise, we put a baby gate up so the dogs can't get into the living room.

    Spray the baby with citronella! Actually, baby gates won't be bad b/c it'll keep the baby from causing harm on himself too

    We only put the baby on the floor in her nursery and the dogs aren't allowed in her nursery.

    My little dog hates the babies snot sucker.  So I just show him that and he doesn't come near him!

    I have three big dogs and they have to lay down if they want to be close when the baby is on the floor. I will put them in a down stay no closer than 3 feet to the baby. They also know "get back" and "move" if they get too close to the baby or are underfoot when we're holding the baby.

    My dog is usually following me around, so if I have her on the floor, and I'm washing dishes or something, he is with me.  If I'm on the floor next to her then I call him over and have him sit on the other side of me.  He's really not interested in her yet, I think I'm going to have more a problem with her wanting to play with him.

    My furry kids (85 and 65 lbs) just seem to know when to be careful.  If we're playing on my bed and they jump onto the bed, they're very careful to go slow and not get too close until they're laying down and snuggling.  When my neice is over, crawling around everywhere, they seem to tiptoe around her.  However, they know "Back up!" and "Gentle with the baby."
