I completely Hate the IRS

I have visited their local office--no answers there.  Then an hour on the phone (most of that time on hold)--we cannot help you.  I hate the fact that you try and do something nice and they just give you no credit.

    Boo the IRS!  What's going on?
    Connor Thomas 6/6/08. Discovered missed miscarriage at 17 wks 3 days, D&C 11/25/09. Please, please, please - BFP 5/21/11, EDD 2/1/11. Beta@12DPO=52, Beta@14DPO=158. U/S 7/7/11 shows strong baby measuring a couple days ahead!!! Pregnancy Ticker

    Where we are hosting the Chinese Exchange teacher, our tax person told us that we should be able to take off the rent that we could receive.  Well, we are dealing with the school system trying to get the utilities since we would not have to pay these if she was not living there. Well, I called the IRS to find out what the tax implications would be.  Well, come to find out you cannot write off allowing a non-profit  group to use your rental property.
