Really? I don't get why you guys are just insisting on this. I know you feel like there's this second tri sisterhood but to the point of denying that hateful, racist jokes are out there and can cause harm?

Here's something people thought was funny once. Do you think it's funny, 2nd tri?

um i thnk things are funny because i know when to be funny and when to be serious....on a serious note, i am hateful and racist against terrorits...some terrorists ride camels...thats why its funny...

its not meant to mean that EVERYONE that rides a camel is a terrorist...you see?

I never said any of it was "funny." What I think is funny is how no one will let it die......they come over here from all other boards shouting racist and ignorance.....and then they say things that are just as bad or worse.....that's the real comedy.....

Yeah, it was funny to a very particular group of individuals. Can't think of what they called themselves though...can anyone help me out here? I think they rounded up like millions of people and gassed them to death. Ring any bells?

We're all pregnant... we're all getting big and round... jokes about getting fat are AWESOME and can totally release steam about a very NATRUAL part of being pregnant. Get over yourself!

Not everything is meant to be funny. I don't think all the racist comments and jokes that have been going on are funny, which is why I've stayed out of all the insanity. I also think that everyone should just let it go. People are going to think what they think and laugh at what they want to laugh at, and no amount of informing and bashing is going to change that.

No one showed a picture of Obama hanging from a tree or getting killed.

This is not the same. I don't agree with everything that has been said on either side, but neither side is going to win anything.

Just because something was posted that offended you, does not make it ok to post something to offend others.

I am thinking about making my early debut on 3rd tri for this reason. How long does this board have to be bomarded by people who start a post that says "racist" and then run back to their own board?

I dont agree everything is funny if its meant to be. I'm very aware of hateful things. HOWEVER getting up in arms over somebody's lame attempt at humor is pointless. 1st because everyone has a different sense of humor, toilet jokes, sex jokes, religious jokes etc can all be offesive. Big whoop! Toughen up and move on. and 2nd, its the internet, no one personally knows another (excluding a select few) so who gives a shit about what some stranger says?! Nothing you post in reply to them is going to change their mind and it propbably wont even affect their mood as much as it is yours.

I think a lot of us have read the posts and have opted not to feed into any of it (such as myself), maybe that's guilt by omission, who knows, but what I do know is that to me, craziness and funniness of it all is that people just won't let it die.

I would liek to point out that we still live in a country that stands for free thought and expression. It is a two-way street, to be sure, but we cann pretty much say, post, write anything we want without fear. And I think that's pretty great.

Though I may disagree with some sentiments, I'll be dammed if I am going to crucify someonw for expressing them - at least not on a pregnancy board.
