1st Trimester

First ultrasound after three days of spotting. . .

I had some questionable spotting earlier in the week so my midwife ordered an ultrasound and we got to see the baby today! The little heart was pumping away (145 bpm), and I have to say that I thought the baby looked really cute. The tech gave us a pretty clear photo and I can't stop looking at it! It's finally sinking in that i'm growing a little person! It's so cool how the mother/baby connection evolves over the 9 months of pregnancy.

We also gained a day when they dated the pregancy, so i'm not a June mommy anymore. . . i'm due May 31st!

Congratulations! I know what you mean about the ultrasound. I stared at the picture for hours and even put it in a frame on my fireplace mantel.
