What is the going rate

in Babies on the Brain

for doulas? I know it is kind of a rude question. ( I was raised not to ask questions about people and their money.) I am trying to decide if I would like to use one this time. Thank you so much for your response. The internet says it can range from $200- $1000.

    I think it's anywhere from about $200 to $1000.

    I think it would depend where you live, what kind of services you want, etc. You might want to also post this on your local board.

    Ok..ok.....i get it dumb question since the internet technically told me. lol! I just thought it was a huge range so I wondered why. I will let the question go. lol =)

    In my area (Chicagoland), it seems to be $700-800.  You can use a doula in training for free or a minimal cost.  Doulas in training have less experience than a certified doula but have all the schooling.  The have to witness 3+ (applicable, from what my doula said) births in order to become certified. 

    My bradley instructor (also a doula) posted my information on a regional doula board and I had about 5 women in training contact me back.  You may want to try that.
