Well Obviously the best gift for most would be Engagement/Wedding rings & LO,but I don't mean that.I am talking about something else..Well for me,one Valentines Day my DH & I met @ a very nice hotel went out to eat @ fancy restaurant etc.. It was really romantic because I had no idea he had anything planned. We are talking Roses all over the room & expensive Wine...The Next day we were headed home & he blind folded me as I entered our house.. I was just so nervous & wondered what else could he be up to? Once the blind fold was taken off we were in our bedroom & to my surprise he ordered a brand new beautiful bedroom set.. I love it & I will never forget that day...I couldn't believe he put this all together without me knowing..

Re: NBR whats the best gift Dh ever gave you?
I just asked DH what was the best gift he ever game was and he yells from the other room, "That thing in your stomach? That was a pretty good one."
Thanks, DH.

Cute...
I just asked DH and he said something similar and I replied "oh the hot fudge sundae from McDonalds?"
Yummm
LOL!
My DH planned and payed for our Honeymoon. I had no idea where we where going, and he covered everything I could possibly need. He took me to Paris, France for 4 days and on the 3rd day there asked me what else I really wanted to do there so we could make sure we did it on the 4th day because we where going to Venice, Italy for 4 more days. It was amazing.
DH always gets me nice gifts. He got me a little diamond necklace on our wedding day, he got me a purse that he saw me admire in a window, he got me a bangle bracelet from Tiffany that didn't fit right after BFP - and when I almost cried that the small didn't fit b/c I was all pg and swollen we went and I picked out one I liked even better.
Today I bought DH two baseball playoff tickets from stub hub for his bday, which is in a few weeks. His team is in the playoffs. I'm just trying to decide if I'll go or send him w/ a buddy. Leaning toward sending him w/a buddy cuz I feel too pregnant for crowds etc. I get him good gifts too!
okay now THAT makes me jealous : )
Wow Should I be worried or should I just say " I got it like that"... My husband & I have been together for years & I am very secure in my relationship...
That's really nice.. We have gone on trips before but never to Paris or Italy... We have gone to pretty much most of the Caribbean... I have to work on my DH now for this.. I am jealous too..

those are the two things I want for Christmas / my birthday!! but I'm not even mentioning them to DH because I know he'd get em for me and they're too pricey for us right now but next year....
  but next year....
As far as gifts are concerned, my DH is very thoughtful. I've often mentioned something in passing and he'll remember it months later. I once said I missed playing piano and for my birthday last year he bought me a keyboard. Earlier this year I mentioned wanting a new cross to wear (just a simple silver one from Walmart or Kohl's, nothing fancy) and for my birthday he bought me a beautiful one with sapphires (my birthstone). I don't ask for these things but it means a lot that he remembers when I do mention something.
Honestly, and as cheesy/cliche as this sounds, I appreciate the little things much more! Like Friday he got out of work early and I came home to find he'd cleaned the entire apartment so I didn't have to do anything over the weekend. He does have a bad habit of leaving dishes in the sink but he makes up for it when he cleans the bathroom because he actually scrubs between all the tiles in the tub, which is more than I do, lol.
DH made me a scrapbook while we were dating. He'd snagged a bunch of magazines from my apartment one day (Cosmo, Glamour, etc) and went to work. I had moved to Boston for grad school but went to Tally to visit him one weekend. It's actually a sad story because I broke up with him the day I got back to Boston. He was my first (and only) boyfriend and I was living so far away for 2 years, just wasn't sure what I wanted.
Needless to say, we got back together and I love the scrapbook. It's adorable! And it reminds me of how we've grown so much throughout our relationship and made it through tough times.
That's so sweet ...
You have excellent taste in gifts.

No, for real best gift ever, right up there with the clapper that I got for Christmas 2 years ago! He sure knows what I like.

DH got me a watch for my birthday a couple of years ago that I just love. It's not a super fancy watch but I get compliments on it all the time, and I love that when someone compliments me on it I can say that DH picked it out.
Also, for the first birthday I had after we started dating (back in college - I was turning 20!) when we'd only been dating for a couple months, he got me a pound of juicy pear jelly bellies because he knew they were my favorite. It was cute And it was nice to know that he'd been paying attention to what I liked!

We were in Vegas for my birthday a few years ago, at the Wynn, and dh said, "You have x amount of money to spend - let's shop!" It was very lavish; I felt like Pretty Woman!
But, really, one of my favorite non-tangible gifts was for my last birthday. I was running the Chicago Marathon, and although it was a super busy time of year for dh, he managed to fit the trip into his schedule. The whole time I was running, he took the train all over Chicago, and walked miles himself, just so that he could see me at 5-6 different places along the course. He cheered so loudly, and gave me so much encouragement and motivation every time I saw him. He really went WAY out of his way that weekend, and it's one of my favorite memories.
AND, he's out right now picking up a Pumpkin Spice Latte for me. He's great

Before we were married, DH and I had been dating eachother for about 4 months when he sent me flowers at work. I had never had flowers delivered before so I was super excited. He broke up with me the next day. It only lasted a week and a half and that was 7 years ago. But depending on the man I believe it's true. If it's not in his nature to be that romantic & suddenly he is....something is up.

ditto. MH is great at planning surprises for me & has taken me on long weekend trips that he planned all by himself & I had no clue where we were going till we got there. I love this.
But he's also really thoughtful. Like just the other day, I mentioned I wanted to get mums to put on our porch- (since we're finally homeowners, we actually have our own porch to put things on, lol). Well, last night I got home from work & there were 3 pots of mums on the porch. him.
 him.
LMFAO
As far as non-material things go, definitely agreeing to take time away from school to be an SAHD while our baby is little. I can't even express in words how much it means to me that he'll be there 24/7 for our baby and how big of a sacrifice it is.
As far as material stuff: #1 is definitely my engagement/wedding ring, which I totally love, #2 is my cowboy boots that he bought me for our five year anniversary. I feel awesome when I wear them and they only get better with age--just like our relationship.
The best non material gift he's ever gotten me, hands down...was a list of 100 things he loved about me. They were all inside jokes, quirky things, very unique and I bawled the entire time.
