Games for 2nd graders

I'm helping to lead my oldest's girl scout troop and we're trying to come up with some quick and fun games to play with the girls at the end of the meeting.  I am the most uncreative person on earth so I'm at a loss for ideas.

In the past they've played "fruit salad" and four corners where you go to this corner if you like such and such, the other one if you like something else.  Basically easy games that don't require any equipment (like Duck Duck goose but for the older crowd).

 Any ideas greatly appreciated!

  • I was my daughter's troop leader for 2 yrs.  Try googling games for girl scouts etc, there is a TON of information you should be able to find.  Even for craft ideas, ceremonies and more.  Good luck.  I commend you for doing this, it is a hard job and I didn't have much parental involvement.  I was more like a babysitter for these people and it quickly got old.  Other leaders I talked to had a better experience, I just seemed to get a few bad apples, I guess.

  • Thanks for the ideas.  Thankfully we have lots of parental involvement and there are 3 leaders so it's manageable.  Our troops seems very laid back compared to some of the others I've heard about.
