Giving kisses? Waving Bye-bye?

I feel like a terrible mother that doesn't interact with her child.

I'm sure it's just Working Mom Guilt, but I can't shake it.

Lily doesn't give kisses. She doesn't wave. Nothing.

I spend lots of time talking, kissing, tickling and playing with her when I'm home...maybe it's not enough? When did your LOs do these things?

    DD is 6 months old and I *think* she gives me the open mouth kisses on my nose and cheeks. I think that is what she is doing lol. I am working on waving and clapping.

    Lily claps...sometimes....

    And I think she may be giving kisses sometimes, but it's once in a blue moon.

    My DD and I work on waving and clapping everyday. She will not do either of them on command. She has clapped once when I came home from work and she has waived at the dog. That's it.

    Ellie gives me kisses...I think. She might just be trying to eat my face.

    She just started clapping 2 days ago and won't do it all the time.

    I have been waving to this child for months and still, nada.

    I also do baby signing with her. If she wants to eat she bangs her hand on her high chair tray. Not exactly what I was going for...

    Let go of the guilt.  Set yourself free!

    Dude.  Bean is a genius!  Remember when he turned on his own mobile when he was like 4 months old?

    I seriously lol'd at this. We're working on "more," "eat," and "milk." With Lily. She just screechs and bangs on her tray, too.

    Me, too. I feel awful admitting that I'm super jealous. Ab is a good mommy and her Bean loves her. I smother my peanut in kisses....why won't she kiss me? lol

    Liam just liked kissing so much that he started mimicking us.  He just thought it was the funniest thing ever.  I think that was just luck on our part.  I've been working on waving bye-bye but he sometimes sticks his hand out and sometimes doesn't.  It's hit or miss.

    Henry doesn't wave or kiss, either.   He does try to eat my face, like lulu said Ellie does.  I figure if he's 5 and not doing this, I'll worry.  Right now, it's okay.

    If I tell Bryce to give me a kiss, he'll lean forward with his mouth wide open and give me a kiss on the lips. I am working on waving and clapping with him, but once and awhile he'll stick his hand out to wave, but not all the time. As far as clapping goes, he just looks at me with a confused look on his face and then starts laughing at me.

    Definitely do not feel guilty! She will do it on her own time. Even if she doesn't give kisses, she still loves you, you/re her momma! Big Smile

    Audrey waves, but that's really it. And not just hi and bye, she waves pretty much everytime I pick her up. She's very amused with herself. lol

    No waving.  I get sloppy open mouth kisses, tho.  Also, no clapping.  He also only occassionally says Dada. Embarrassed

    No kisses for us.  :(  I'm dyyyyyyyyyying for DS to give me a big, wet baby kiss.  

    He will wave bye bye, but it is a teeny, tiny little wave.  He will open and close his fingers like once, and you are waving like an idiot to get him to do that.  Hahaha!  

    I clap and wave and kiss this child constantly.  Can't wait until he does all of these things regularly!

    HA!  Abe does that exact same thing.  I'll say, "More, do you want more?" sign and then help him sign.  And he just bangs his hand.

    Hot Sauce - Abe doesn't give kisses or clap.  He'll wave once in a while but he only started that last week and I'm not quite convinced it's not just random arm flapping.
