3rd Trimester

frustration (vent)

Maybe Im just horribly hormonal but everything is irratating me today.  I had my dr. appt today and had another internal exam.  Of course I have not progressed past 1 and 50%.  Of course I want him to come when he is ready and I do realize I have a couple of weeks but it would be nice to see some progress.  This stalemate is a bummer.  So as I leave the dr I call DH and he brought up finding day care.  I told him he should call the place by his work because I dont really care to deal with that right now.  He of course thinks I should do it which is why he brought it up.  I have enough on my plate and he has had to do very little over the past 9 months, seriously step up and make a phone call.  Why are men so lazy and pass the buck?  grrrrr!

Re: frustration (vent)

  • Ugh yes, the whole day care thing is so frustrating too, it would be an incredible gesture for him to at least help you out with that!!!

  • I don't see why it is YOUR job to call them? You obviously both work (which is why you need daycare) so he is going to have to get used to splitting all the baby and house work evenly!

  • DH drops the ball on EVERYTHING.  I'm always asking him to follow up on something.  It's so annoying.  He's just incredibly laid back, and I'm not, so it's like pulling teeth.

As far as your progress, I had a friend that was around 38 weeks, had an appointment, no progress at all, and her water broke that night.  You never know what could happen!  :)

  • I dont see why everything is my job either.  I am trying to be patient I am used to seeing progress with everything I do so to not see it is frustrating.  Thanks for the encouragment.
