Most un-relaxing massage today...

EVER!

I'm an event planner for a company and we had a meeting in AZ this week. My boss said that I could book a massage at the spa, and she would pay for it. Sweet! So, I booked a Hot Stone Massage and a Facial and was so looking forward to both of them.

I went into the room for the massage, and the massage therapist starts jabber-jawing right away. We got on the subject of Acupuncture, and she asks why I am going and I say for fertility. 'Well, sometimes you just need to relax and it will happen.' I don't have a problem GETTING pg. 'Oh, well, just lower your stress level and it will happen. Also take red raspberry pills - they worked for my hot flashes and menopause.' and 'maybe you were just not meant to have a baby, and there is someone out there looking for a home.'

Oh, wow, thanks lady, I'll just do that then. I went to the massage TO RELAX, not think about my broken body. FML.

Well, at least the facial was relaxing, and I had that treatment after the massage.

    Oh, and the kicker? As I was waiting to get into the room for my facial, a VERY PG lady comes out from a room. She goes up to the desk, and everyone starts asking her questions - 'Do you know what you are having? When are you due? Is this your first baby?'

    I'm such a bitter betty lately. I just can't stomach anything.

    this is so upsetting. I would have complained. If I don't get my regular guy (not that I get massages that regularly, but I have one guy I really like), the others think I am a biotch b/c I walk in and say, "I like a lot of pressure and no talking." ha!
    m/c#1 07/16/08 (11 weeks), m/c#2 10/10/08 (8 weeks). and then nothing since except every test possible (no answers). IUI#1 and #2: BFNs Super lucky to be buddies with Peetie. Our out of nowhere, surprise DD born 5/29/2011

    I always like to say, when they first start the massage, "Ooh, the quiet is nice, I so rarely get a peaceful moment"

    They generally take the hint that I don't want too much chatting and if they don't, I pipe up. Cause hey, it's my hour, I want to escape.

    How frustrating.  I'm so sorry you had to deal with her today.  You should treat yourself to another massage, with a different therapist.
