After lots of talking with DH and my doctor, I have decided that scheduling a repeat CS feels like the best option for me and so at yesterday's appt we scheduled it.
It is so crazy to actually know what day my baby will be born this far in advance, but it looks like Baby Skroops #2 will be making his/her arrival on January 22nd around 9:30 am. Now that I know that, I feel like the wait is going to seem like forever!
I am a little sad that I will not have the anticipation of wondering when I will go into labor this time around. So I'm glad that we are not finding out the sex of the baby or sharing our name choices so that our friends and family will still be surprised by those even if they will know what day the baby will be born.
Re: My baby officially has a birthdate
That's great! We didn't find out the sex or share names with anyone the 1st time around and plan on doing the same thing next time (I will also have a repeat c/s). It was great sharing that with our family and friends after the birth.
How have you been feeling?
Haha - yeah...I told DH after I scheduled the c-section that I felt like I just made a dentist appointment!
It was definitely strange. BUT - I was also relieved that we weren't going to have to bring Evan to the hospital in the middle of the night until one of our parents could fetch him.
And the full night's sleep and total preparedness was very nice and everything seemed so relaxed which was very, very nice. I think it just set everything off on a calm note.
Hope everything else goes smoothly!
This is kind of why I'm hoping for for one of the twins to be breech. Scheduling a c-section seems like such a better option once you have an LO at home, especially since I had a long labor last time.
