DD didn't get them until 11 months. I didn't get them until 13 months, though, so I wasn't surprised:) DD still only has 2 little stubs on the bottom. She seriously 'teethed' for 2 months before anything broke through!
My niece didn't get any teeth til 13 or 14 months. Her daddy didn't either. Actually, my mil says she took him to the dentist, all worried and they told her it was a good thing. Most kids who get their baby teeth later loose them later and then their adult teeth last longer.
My daughter is 15 months and 2 weeks old and has 0 teeth!!!!!!!!!! So trust me when I say I know the feeling. I can FINALLY see the bottom 2 starting to come up but they have not broke skin yet.
I'm in the same boat as you. My DD will be one in a couple of weeks, and she has also shown signs of teething several times, but no teeth yet. I guess we just have to be patient.
I didn't have a tooth until I was 14 months old. My mom took me to the dentist to make sure nothing was wrong! I have really strong teeth now though... never had a cavity!
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with a toothless toddler. I wasn't terribly concerned on DD's 1st birthday when she had no teeth, since DS didn't get his 1st tooth until a few days before his first birthday. Now, that she's 13 1/2 months old and there's still nothing I'm wondering when they're going to come in. I'm not so much concerned, but I feel bad because she has been teething like crazy for so long. I hope they pop through soon!
Re: If your LO had zero teeth at 12 months
I think DD finally got her 1st tooth not too long after her 1st b-day.
She is 18 months now and has 8 teeth total.
Thanks, at least I know that there are a few other toothless babies
I have heard that the longer they wait to get teeth the better but I still thought he would have something by now!
No worries - DS had zero at 12 months...he got SIX teeth from 13-14 months...and now at 18 months - STILL six teeth. LOL.
I had the same thing - I was a late teether and I can verify - I have awesome teeth.
I wouldn't worry at all. Enjoy the time before the molars is what I'm told
