1st Ultrasound today Update

**Last night the doctor that was on call finally got back to me, and it looks like I have a small tear in the wall of my uterus. He was not able to tell me much more than that and put me on bed rest until my OB visit tomorrow afternoon. It will be such a relief to talk to an actual OB about this! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!

Does anyone else have experience with this? **

I went to Urgent Care yesterday after I had a sudden rush of blood that was very red and thick. The only ultrasound machine at the clinic I was out was not working so all I had done was some blood work. The doctor said if I bleed thru more than one pad in an hour to go to the ER, and sent me home. I continued to spot durning the night and thru the morning so when we spoke this morning he sent me straight to the ER, (my OB's office is closed for the holiday).

Once I checked in I got my first ultrasound. I measured at 6 weeks 1 day (2 weeks less than I thought) and got to see/hear the heart beat 130!! It was the most amazing sound, but we are still on pins and needles because that is pretty much all we know. While she was showing me the sac, I saw another dark spot on the screen and asked what it was she said it was not another baby but a small bleed, and that she could not go into details about it but that they often stop all on their own.

Now I am just dying for the doctors office to call me back. They are waiting until after they get the fax from the hospital about my ultrasound and the STAT order on my HCG levels, and those had to be sent over to the other side of the island. Man I wish I lived in a big city right about now, is it normal for things like this to take so long everywhere?

I'm so sorry that you have to go through all of this. I don't think it would take this long to find things out here in Philly, but who knows. I never realized that you lived in Hawaii!
