Parenting after a Loss

Need nap help pls!!!!!!!!

My little one will not let me put her down for naps. She hates her swing, cries as soon as she opens her eyes in the crib. She will sleep in car seat if I am out walking or in my arms. It was fine in the beginning but now I have stuff to get done. This am I tried the crib again a bunch of times but she screamed and never settled eventhough she was awake for 4 hours, then passed out in my arms. We have been sitting in the rocking chair for over an hour now. Any advice? Its an awful habit and I am getting frusturated because she is always on me. She has an incrediable way to stay awake for hours and hours. Thx

  • We swaddle at night, have not tried it for naps. She is not a fan of the baby bjorn.

Yes she does but she gets mad and spits it out!!!!
  • I can't recommend enough the Moby wrap!

Zoey's napping in it right now while I'm on the computer... happy as a clam.

She won't nap unless she's in this wrap or I'm holding her either, so at least this way I get to use both my hands! lol

This!  This was my lifesaver when DD1 was teeny.  I wore her, she napped, and I got chores done.  I can't wait until I'm strong enough to wear DD2 - I loved that thing.

  • I agree, I HAD to get a Moby just for this reason.

Then after about 2 weeks she got totally into sleeping in her crib.....until recently that is!

  • I have the Homedics Sound Spa Lullaby Relaxation Machine.  My LO will be restless at first but then he will pass out to Rockabye Baby.  There are 3 lullabies and 3 natural sounds.  I got it on Target.com, but I am thinking it is cheaper in the store.

I have also been picking him up under his arms and bouncing him when he is fussy.  And I have been putting him more in his Ergo Carrier with his infant insert and bouncing him, and it calms him down.  And then he sleeps.
