back pain = start of labor?

Just curious if this is how it started for anyone. No cramping, but I can hardly work my back suddenly started hurting so bad...

Yes! I had back pain the day my water broke. I thought I was just over working myself, but at 12:21 that night--bam! My water broke and I realized I was in back labor all day!

OMG! It could be! I didn't go into labor on my own, but I've heard tons of others who started with back pain.

My cousin went to the hospital with severe back pain when she was pregnant and her son was born about two hours later.

Yes when I was pregnant with the boys, my back started hurting in the middle of the night. Needless to say the boys were born a few hours later.

Haha. It was her fifth baby though. She' was usually induced early for blood pressure issues so she had no idea it was labor.
