Mucus Plug?

Hi Ladies:
I'm sure you all get asked this about 10 times a week over here - but the search feature is being cranky, so I thought I'd write a new post and hope for some responses.

I'm 39 weeks today and lost my mucus plug this morning. I know everyone / every pregnancy is different, but just wondering, for those of you who lost it, how long was before you delievered your little one?

from the start of losing my mucous plug (mine was over a few days) I believe it was about under a week until my water broke.

I didn't lose mine until I was in labor.

I do not remember ever loosing mine, must have happened while I was in labor. My water also broke 5 minutes before DD was out.

Sorry, but the MP means nothing - you can lose it a month before birth, or hours before birth. It can even regenerate. I lost mine weeks before giving birth and it kept regenerating and falling out again. However, if it's a little bloody, it could be your bloody show - my bloody show looked a lot like the mucus plug (I still don't understand the difference), and I went into labor the next day after I started getting my show.

I didn't lose mine until I as in labor. I went to pee between contractions and it came out when I wiped. Everyone is so different it's annoying to not be able to tell when you're going to go into labor. Good luck!

With my first, I didn't even notice if I did lose it. With the second it was a week and a day and I delivered at 39 weeks. Don't think about it too much. I was certain DD was coming a couple days after I lost it only to be frustrated and uncomfortable. GL.
